there’s so much going on in the world today – worry, fear, with peek-a-boos of hope. and often, when we’re facing fear or need a boost in our faith, we rely on those things that make us feel most comfortable. in some cases, that ease is found in the familiarity of family. however you define family, they’re the ones who know us first and probably know us best. and any time spent with them, that call, that “you’ll be alright“can mean the world.
i. have. a. great. family [insert dramatic hand claps]. i have over twenty close first cousins on my mom’s side and every fourth weekend in june, i’m planning to be in north carolina for my dads family reunion. i love memories, so when i’m around my family you know i’m somewhere with my camera – walking around, lurking even, waiting for the exact time to snap. it’s the moments like when your aunt sees her grand baby she hasn’t seen in months. or when two sisters are caught up in some juicy gossip. two brothers connecting over the game. i love it. and most times, my family is happy when they see the pictures later.
i think we all need family pictures. so the next time you’re with family, take a few minutes to stop, gather everyone, strike a pose and click. or book a session with me. future generations will thank you. happy clicks!
